GENERAL PURCHASE CONDITIONS



Acceptance of these General Transport Conditions

These conditions must be examined on line by the passenger or they can be requested from the Call Center before booking. The booking therefore implies full knowledge and full acceptance of these conditions. These general conditions may be updated or modified at any moment by the carrier; in such a case, the latter will immediately give notification of such modifications on this website. If the booking is made on line, the passenger undertakes to print and conserve these general conditions; similarly, the passenger undertakes to print and observe these general conditions every time they are modified.




Ticket booking and purchase

The ticket can be bought via this website (www.blu-express.com), or by contacting the Call Center or from the travel agencies authorised to perform the service. The payment will be debited to your credit card at the moment of the purchase. The Call Center can be contacted at the telephone number +39 06 98 95 66 66 for general information, bookings or requests to modify bookings already made. Timetable: from 8.00 to 20.00 non-stop, every day. The ticket is purchased at the moment of the booking. The payment of the tariff and all taxes and extra charges relative to the booking must be paid in full by the passenger at the moment of the booking. After verification of the payment of the tariff and of all applicable taxes and other charges, the carrier will confirm the booking, communicating to the passenger the Reference Code/Booking Number. If it results that the payment has not been made or completed, the carrier may cancel the booking. In the case of booking on-line or via Call Center, the confirmation of the booking with the Booking Reference Code/Booking number and the summarised data of the flight purchased will be transmitted by the carrier to the passenger by electronic mail. To make the booking, it is a necessary and obligatory condition for the passenger to communicate a valid electronic mail address. All communications from the Carrier relative to the booking – confirmation, cancellations – will be transmitted exclusively to the electronic mail address indicated during the booking. In the case of the on-line purchase of a ticket at an agency, the agency itself will provide for delivering the Booking Reference Code/Booking number and the summarised data of the flight to the passenger. The "booking confirmation", which can be printed on conclusion of the purchase procedure, represents the ticket and it is a legally valid and relevant document. Consequently it is necessary and sufficient as a legally recognised deed (whether the customer is a private individual or a company). The VAT on the transport service cannot be deducted (pursuant to art. 19-bis1 of Decree of the Pres. of the Republic 633/72).

Tariffs and payment methods

The tariffs include only transport from the airport of departure to the airport of destination; therefore, the transport between the airports and/or the airports and the terminals is not included. The tariffs applied are those in force at the moment of the booking, for which there are a limited number of places available. The tariffs can vary before the start of the journey and according to the number of places still available at the moment of the purchase. The carrier has the right to refuse the transport if the applicable tariff, and/or the taxes and extra charges, have not been paid. In the case of on-line purchase, payment can be made by Mastercard, Visa or American Express credit cards. In the case of booking through a travel agency, it is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain information on the payment methods from the agency itself.




Confidentiality

To guarantee the confidentiality of the data of credit cards used on-line, the carrier takes avail of the most advanced Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is at present the preferred method for the safe transfer of credit card data and other confidential data via Internet. At the moment of the payment, if the browser used supports SSL, the passenger can select the Protection Mode and the data will be protected by this technology. If the browser imposes limits, the unprotected mode can be used; however, the carrier recommends obtaining the most recent version of the browser in order to carry out future transactions with full peace of mind.




Changes and Cancellations

Tariff regulations valid for intercontinental flights to the Americas, Caribbean, Far East and Africa – Some promotional tariffs may NOT allow changes and/or cancellations.
For more information and for you to be aware of the purchase you are making, please check the tariff rules that are valid for the ticket you wish to purchase with the call center prior to making your booking. Any request for changes and/or cancellation may in any case only be made up to 72 hours prior to the flight departure time.
Failure to respect the aforementioned terms will not enable any changes to be made and shall not imply the right to reimbursement even if provided by the tariff in question.

Cancellation: In the case of cancellation notified at least 72 hours prior to the departure of the flight, the percentage to be paid for cancellation fees provided by the tariff purchased shall be applied. The costs and fuel supplements applied by the airline are not reimbursable. Airport and government taxes are reimbursable. Contact the call center for more details.

Change of route/date/time: In the case of change requests notified at least 72 hours prior to the departure of the flight, the additional percentage provided by the tariff purchased shall be applied plus any tariff adjustments and/or taxes and fuel supplements. Contact the call center for more details.

Change of name: Changes of name are not permitted.

No-Show: Passengers failing to show up for check-in or at the boarding gate shall not have any right to reimbursement.

Boarding denied: Refusal for boarding following the complete presentation of travel documents shall not imply the right to reimbursement except for airport and government taxes.




Check-in

Check-in desks for INTERCONTINENTAL flights will be open only from 3 hours to 90 minutes before the time scheduled for the departure of the flight. The information given is valid only for the flight purchased through the internet site www.blu-express.com. We remind you that passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid identity document and the other requisites and/or documents requested by the customs and immigration authorities (visas, work permits, etc). Penalties, sanctions, expenses and charges deriving from the absence of such requisites, and/or documents maintained as not valid, will be charged entirely to the passengers. To avoid such risks, we suggest contacting the immigration authorities of the country of destination. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months following the departure date. Acceptance, or check-in, is not possible at the embarkation gate. The weight limit of registered luggage is 20 kilograms in the hold and 5 kilograms in the cabin (maximum dimensions 55 x 40 x 20 cm). INFANT passengers between 0 and 23 months of age have the right to 10 Kg of luggage in the hold. For excess luggage a charge of euro 18.00 per Kg will be applied.

All communications from the carrier relative to the booking – confirmation, cancellation, modification of timetable – will be transmitted exclusively to the electronic mail address specified during the booking phase. Passengers must check on changes to the flight 24 hours before the flight at the website www.blu-express.com.
